Meet Lindsey
Charleston Local & Travel Blogger
Hi, I’m Lindsey! Charleston is my hometown, and I love sharing its charm, hidden corners, and favorite spots with visitors. Whether it’s a stroll along historic streets, a quiet garden, or a local foodie find, this is your guide to experiencing the city like a local at your own pace, with all the secrets I’d share with friends.
I grew up splitting my time between Folly Beach and Mount Pleasant with divorced parents and went to school downtown, so I had all my bases covered. Charleston has always been my home and it’s where my love for travel and hospitality began.
I’ve worked in Charleston’s hospitality industry most of my life, spending nearly a decade at the city’s tourism board before building my own travel brand. In 2021, I started my first blog, Leisurely Linds, and in 2025, I turned it into a full-time business. Since leaving my 9–5, I’ve launched Leisurely Travel Co., where I help readers plan their dream trips and Leisurely Charleston, where I get to share the city I love most.
Through Leisurely Charleston, I’ll help you plan your trip with the kind of local insight you can’t find in a guidebook from the best time to visit and where to stay, to my favorite restaurants, secret spots, and photo-worthy corners. Think of this as a friend’s guide to the Holy City, written by someone who’s lived and breathed it her whole life.
And if you’d like more hands-on help, I’m here for that too. I offer personalized travel planning through Leisurely Travel Co. creating seamless Charleston experiences from where to stay to the best things to do, all curated to your unique tastes. I’ll help you sort through what’s worth doing (and what’s not) to design your dream trip with ease.
Whether it’s your first visit or your fifth, I hope you fall in love with Charleston just like I did and keep coming back!
